About Me

Hey there! My name is Giada and welcome to My Italian Flavors.

The recipes you’ll find here are the dishes that make up my day-to-day routine. They’ll be quick (though not always, I won’t sugarcoat it), but rest assured, they’re easy, incredibly delicious, and perfect for the whole family to enjoy. I’m on a mission to cook as often as time allows, simply because I have an unbridled love for cooking—well, eating too, to be honest! And sometimes, the heavenly aroma in my kitchen takes me right back to my roots in Italy, and I cherish that part too!

I hail from the north of Italy, a tiny village nestled high in the mountains. Winters there seem to stretch for 9 months, and when summer finally arrives, it feels more like an early autumn. While I no longer call that place home, my journey led me to Israel in 2015. And you know, the fabulous weather here certainly played a part, but what truly anchored me was love! A few months after landing in Israel, I crossed paths with the man who would become my amazing husband and the father of my sweet little boys.

Now, back to what you should expect from this food blog. I’m not a professional chef, so you can count on home-style recipes—the kind of food I prepare with love for my family. You’ll find a mix of traditional Italian recipes, dishes I’ve developed over time, a healthy dose of vegetables, some hearty meat options, non-kosher delights, and probably many more culinary adventures yet to be discovered.

My goal here is to show you that anyone can whip up a fantastic meal as part of their daily routine. I firmly believe that a love for food and cooking isn’t something you’re born with—it’s a passion you nurture, a courage to try something new, and the satisfaction of succeeding. My hope is to inspire you and help that passion grow. Trust me, it’s surprisingly simple when you know how to do it.

I genuinely hope you’ll enjoy this culinary journey with me! And if you decide to try out any of my recipes, please do leave a comment. I’d love to hear what you think and share in the joy of your culinary creations. And of course don’t forget to follow @myitalianflavors on Instagram

Ciao,

Giada
